Senate Bills - March 7, 2025
S. 406 (Sens. Martin and Jackson) — Specifies that vehicle owners or operators are liable to the Department of Education for school bus safety violations. School bus operators must report any vehicles that fail to stop when amber signals are on. The Department of Motor Vehicles will suspend a vehicle's registration for outstanding judgments related to passing a school bus.
S. 420 (Sen. Young) — Allows a qualified retiree post-employment benefit trust, maintained for the benefit of retirees in political subdivisions, to invest in certain corporate debt issued by United States corporations.
S. 427 (Sen. Adam) — Expands violations, increases penalties, requires restitution to law enforcement, and makes technical adjustments regarding the taunting, tormenting, injuring, or killing of police dogs or horses.
S. 428 (Sens. Allen and Hembree) — Provides a method for expunging convictions related to check fraud.
