Attention Parks and Rec Officials: SCPRT Needs Your Input

The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism (SCPRT) is working with Clemson University to update South Carolina's Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan. The plan is required for the Palmetto State to receive federal funds through the Land and Water Conservation Fund and Recreational Trails Program. These funds are then granted to local governments across the state to develop or re-develop parks and trails.

Part of the state comprehensive planning process includes surveying providers of outdoor recreation opportunities, and SCPRT needs your help and feedback.

Please complete this online survey on your needs and challenges for managing, maintaining, and developing outdoor recreation spaces. The results of this will be used in drafting the narrative and goals of the updated comprehensive plan.

The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete.

For the purposes of the survey, a South Carolina outdoor recreation provider is defined as any outdoor organization that provides and/or promotes publicly accessible outdoor recreation opportunities in South Carolina.
