Carolinas Renewable Energy DASH Community Meetings

The U.S. Department of Energy has announced six state-based project to receive federal funding through the Renewable Energy Siting through Technical Engagement and Planning grant, including a collaborative project between North and South Carolina called the Carolinas Renewable Energy Development Assistance and Siting Hub (DASH). Multiple agencies in North and South Carolina are partnering to carry out the project.

As part of the project, there will be community meetings to allow attendees to voice their thoughts, concerns and questions about large-scale renewable energy planning, siting and permitting in their area and learn more about the Carolinas Renewable Energy DASH project and its impacts on the region.

The meetings scheduled so far for South Carolina will focus on solar development.
