Additional Counties Eligible for Individual FEMA Assistance Following Uninsured Losses from Hurricane Helene

Over the weekend the South Carolina Emergency Management Division (SCEMD) added five additional counties to the list of those eligible to apply for individual FEMA assistance due to uninsured losses caused by Hurricane Helene. Individuals requesting assistance have until November 29, 2024 to apply. The following counties have been declared as areas for disaster assistance:

Barnwell
Cherokee
Edgefield
Greenville
Greenwood
Hampton
Jasper
Laurens
Lexington
McCormick
Newberry
Oconee
Pickens
Richland
Saluda
Spartanburg

York
