H. 3948 (Rep. Ballentine) — Amends Section 12-37-220, relating to property tax exemptions, to provide for an exemption for certain renewable energy resource properties.
H. 3950 (Reps. Gatch, Brewer, Brittain, Crawford, Guest, Jefferson, Kirby, Murphy, Ott and Robbins) — Adds Section 38-75-70 to require insurers to offer insurance coverage for loss or damage resulting from an earthquake to all policies issued in this state.
H. 3951 (Reps. Haddon, G.M. Smith, Bannister, Hiott, Ligon, Hixon and Leber) — Enacts the "Working Agricultural Lands Preservation Act."
H. 3976 (Reps. Gilliard, Rivers and King) — Memorializes the General Assembly to supplement the in-district compensation of all members of the General Assembly by an additional $25,000 each year to account for inflation.
H. 3979 (Reps. M. M. Smith, Hewitt, Davis and Herbkersman) — Amends Section 44-7-170, relating to institutions and transactions exempt from Certificate of Need review, to add an exemption for the relocation of certain hospitals relocated in the same county.
H. 3981 (Reps. M. M. Smith, Hewitt, Davis and Herbkersman) — Adds Section 16-17-535 to allow persons found guilty of the common law offense of breach of the peace to be granted conditional discharge under certain circumstances.
H. 3983 (Rep. Williams) — Adds Section 59-1-456 to provide that employers may grant employees specified amounts of additional paid leave annually to attend certain public school functions or engage in volunteer teaching activities in public schools during the employee's work hours.
H. 3984 (Rep. Williams) — Enacts "Lizzy"s Law" by adding Section 16-23-540 to require an owner or other person lawfully in possession of a firearm, rifle, or shotgun to report the loss or theft of each such weapon.
H. 3989 (Reps. Ott, G. M. Smith, Cobb-Hunter, Ligon, Kirby, Haddon, Oremus, Brewer, Gagnon, Sandifer and Weeks) — Adds Article 9 to Chapter 33, Title 58 to establish the "Solar, Agricultural, Farmland, and Environmental Act."
