Senate Bills - February 10, 2023

S. 500 (Sen. Cromer) — Establishes grant criteria for the South Carolina Hurricane Damage Mitigation Program.

S. 508 (Sen. Adams) — Enacts the “Multifamily Dwelling Safety Act.”

S.527 (Sen. Verdin) —Withholds disbursements from the Local Government Fund for any county or municipality that relocates, removes, disturbs, or transfers ownership of certain monuments and memorials outside the parameters allowed by the bill for preservation. The list of monuments and memorials would be expanded to include the colonial war and any other armed conflict involving South Carolinians.
