Treasury Update: ARPA Compliance and Reporting Guidance

U.S. Treasury just released its Compliance and Reporting Guidance for the American Rescue Plan Act - Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund (SLFRF). The new guidance provides additional detail for each recipient’s reporting responsibilities and outlines Treasury’s expectations and recommended best practices under the SLFRF program. This guidance should be read in concert with the Award Terms and Conditions, the authorizing statute, the Interim Final Rule (IFR), and other regulatory and statutory requirements. Treasury will begin to accept recipients’ reports through the Treasury Submission Portal and will issue a “User Guide” and other reference materials prior to reporting deadlines.

UPDATE: Treasury will not be hosting a briefing on Tuesday, June 22 at 3 p.m. EDT.

Treasury will also host the following webinars for counties, which will focus on specific reporting requirements. NACo will share registration details once they are made available.

  • Counties with a population over 250,000 residents: Thursday, June 24 at 1:30 p.m. EDT. REGISTER
  • Counties with a population below 250,000 residents that received more than $5 million in State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) funding: Thursday, June 24 at 12 p.m. EDT and Friday, June 25 at 1:30 p.m. EDT. REGISTER
