Revenue Projections and Budgetary Implications Meeting in light of COVID-19

Counties are in the midst of trying to finalize budgets for FY2020-2021 and need information regarding the COVID-19 financial implications on state and local revenues and expenditures. SCAC hosted a virtual meeting on Thursday, April 9th at 4:00 p.m. to discuss state and local revenue projections and budgetary implications. Frank Rainwater, Executive Director of the SC Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office, shared state and local revenue estimates. Frank Hefner, Kendra Stewart, and Bob O’Neill from the College of Charleston provided preliminary information on their COVID-19 Revenue Shock for Local Governments research.
