The South Carolina Associate of Counties has launched an updated online Planning and Zoning Orientation course that consists of four modules. Each module lasts approximately one and a half hours. Officials who complete all four modules will earn six hours of orientation training credit approved by the SC Planning Education Advisory Committee.

Planning and zoning officials in South Carolina are required by state law to complete a minimum of six hours of orientation training within one year of appointment or hiring. Thereafter, a minimum of three hours of continuing education training... Read more

The House spent most of its time this week debating an education bill, while the Senate debated an elections bill. The Senate is scheduled to take up the budget on Tuesday.
