OSHA - Silica in Construction

Silica in Construction – This session will cover the requirements under the OSHA Silica standard in construction. It will discus common tasks that contain Silica exposure and the control measures required to protect exposed employees; as well as, necessary elements for an acceptable silica written program and administration of the program. There’s 90% chance that you have Silica exposure in one or more of your departments! Come and find out how much this will affect your County. Primary departments impacted: Roads & Bridges, Public Works (water & Sewer) and Building Maintenance.
Target Audience – all departments with workplace exposures to silica during construction type activities. General maintenance crews, roads and bridges crews and other public works crews are the main target audience.
Time: 10 am until 3 pm
