The countdown for the 2020 census has begun! In order to achieve a complete count, the U.S. Census Bureau is encouraging local governments and community leaders to promote awareness of the 2020 Census, especially in hard to count populations. SCAC is proud to have launched its first online course this year as part of the Institute of Government. Orientation to County Government I is now available online and is offered at no cost to elected and appointed county officials. This course serves as an excellent primer to county government. The course takes approximately one hour to complete and includes several quizzes to reinforce the user's learning. Upon completion, the participant is granted three hours of Level I Institute credit.
